We began consultation with Redbridge Council in 2006 on a proposal for a Hindu all-through school. In 2010, the local authority held a consultation process with a view to launching a competition to establish a new primary school on the site of an existing Jewish primary school, which is itself moving to another site. I-Foundation has been inundated with community support for our proposal and entered the competition in December 2010.
On May 10th we were informed that we won the competition, and subject to site negotiations, we will be able to proceed to establish a four form entry primary school in September 2012.
